Featured Placement for Fall 2026
Artists Working in Education (AWE) is looking for a dynamic, energetic volunteer who is passionate about both non-profit work and art education for youth, family and communities. This individual will work closely with our Executive Director on all stages of communication and marketing for the organization, as well as supporting some administrative tasks that align with these duties. The main objective for the volunteer is to help build awareness of AWE throughout the greater Milwaukee community.
Key Responsibilities
- Becoming an AWE ambassador
- Developing content and collateral to be used in our print and digital channels to help promote AWE programs
- Update online postings at various sites as new programs are developed
- Creating an ongoing list of potential retail outlets to post upcoming program flyers
- Update content for website pages related to programming
- Develop a system for organizing Online Image Archive and a standardized naming protocol
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a small team structure.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Understanding of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Strong research, analytical, creative, and communication skills.
- Interest in the arts and community-based arts programming.
- Ability to anticipate needs and creatively troubleshoot.
- Experience with Google Suite.
- Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Experience using MailChimp or other email marketing systems is a plus.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM -5PM
