West Bend Library

The Mission of the West Bend Library is to transform lives in the community by providing experiences and resources that support life-long learning.

Description

Many potential projects that could be addressed:

1. Create a couple of different “limited edition” library card designs
2. Create a video loop for a big tv in our lobby featuring animation, maybe a nod to the history of the library etc
3. Create a mural for our vestibule. (This would be a good opportunity for multiple students who wanted to work on a project together)
4. Create or decorate planters for an outdoor library tea garden. There is a goal of 6-8 planters so multiple volunteers could create. This could be a 35 hour project in itself.

NOTE: This opportunity is not accessible by bus from MIAD – requires outside commute and ideal for students that already live in the area. As a reminder, “desk work” projects that are not completed on-site are limited to 15 hours per semester. All volunteers are required to pass a background check.
